The enchanting peninsula La Victòria in Alcudia - a place of longing

We take the minibus to the lonely fortress hermitage of La Victòria in Alcúdia. This is followed by a steep ascent through a gnarled pine forest to the defense tower Penya Roja. Here we have fantastic photo opportunities of the cliffs from Cap des Pinar and the neighboring island of Menorca. After a short break, the ascent continues over a forest path and stone paths to the tip of the Talaia de la Victòria peninsula. Here we have a wonderful panoramic view of Cape Formentor, the Bay of Alcudia, the Bay of Pollença and the local Tramuntana Mountains.

This is a perfect place for our local picnic. Then it goes downhill. We hike along an old, stony goat hunter's path in the macchia forest. Past the La Victòria hostel and to the small bay of S`Illot. Here you can end the day of hiking nicely with a dip in the sea. The return journey takes place by minibus to Port de Sóller.
